Good morning!
I have so much to be thankful for that it would take years for me to
type it all! I'll just start with this...
Thank God for my wonderful husband, Terry!
You would have to search far and wide to find a more
supportive, adorable man. We've been married 13 years
as of Dec. 17 and I am so blessed that I wrote this little poem:
Proof That Opposites Attract
He wakes up ridiculously early
Has coffee brewing at five
I can't believe how cheerful he is
When I'm just coming alive
Nothing can start a fight faster
Than who gets the remote to the TV
I love Lucy-he prefers sports channels
We just can't agree what to see
I like yogurt and salads
He likes burgers and fries
Weight Watchers is my night out
He devours fudge shakes and pies
We may not have much agreement
But opposites attract, I guess
Because we do have love and respect
So all things considered-I'm blessed.
Kristi Sayles
(Yes, I'm a card-carrying lifetime
member of Weight Watchers. If it wasn't
for them, I would've been 400 pounds by
now! Uh Oh...Thanksgiving tomorrow! )
Of course, I'm very thankful for my guys-Jarred, Jason, and Jacob.
Jason and Jacob are mine. Jarred is Terry's. But they're ALL ours.
We had another, named Joseph-Josey-but he was in a tragic car wreck a few years ago.
He's always in our hearts, so I hate to exclude him. He brought lots
of love and laughter into our lives in his short 18 years.
I'm very thankful for my three grandbabies: Aaron, Michael, and
Aryana. I'd be even more thankful if they'd move back to Tennessee
closer to Grandma Kristi! But, they're coming from New York for
Christmas! Yay! Oh yeah, I'm thankful for their beautiful mom, Skye
and their wonderful caregiver, Sean. He's a jewel.
I'm always thankful for my mom-who passed away in 1992.
She brought me up to love God and treat people the way I want
to be treated. She was an incredible woman that couldn't kick
the habit. So she died with heart problems.
My daddy, who's in a nursing home in Kentucky. Such
a fine man! He had a brain aneurysm and needs your prayers.
My four sisters and two brothers-scattered all over Kentucky
and Texas. I love them all! We have lots of fun at our get togethers!
We had a weinie roast last Friday night! Thanksgiving fun!
I'm ever thankful for my friends. I've been teaching at Camden
Elementary School for 13 years and I've become close to many.
I dare not name names because I'd hate to leave anyone out!
But, I love you guys and gals!
I'm extremely thankful for my online friends. It's amazing
how close you can get to someone just through the computer!
When I went to the World Internet Marketing Main Event in
San Francisco, the seminars were amazing, but the most enjoyable
thing of all, was spotting someone that you have been talking to
online and hugging like old friends! There was such a feeling of community
and friendship! Again, I'd hate to name names, but you KNOW who
you are and I love you!
I'm thankful to be able to walk.
Many don't know that I was in a horrible 4-wheeler
wreck July 8, 2004.
I fell off a 15 foot cliff, the bike flipped, my leg
was crushed, and the handlebars landed in my ribs.
Actually, my leg landed around my neck with my toes
dangling my cheek!
I looked like a pretzel! So, what did I do?
I sang "Amazing Grace" as loudly as I could.
After what seemed like an eternity of spiders and
wasps and pain, an old boyfriend named Tony
heard me singing and rescued me.
I was told to get used to the idea
that I may never walk again.
I didn't want to get used to that idea.
I didn't have to.
I have faith in God and in my praying friends
online and offline.
I stayed in the hospital for a month.
Now I have a metal legbone with screws
and twinges of pain
now and then, but hey, I'm walking! I'm thankful!
I'm thankful for all of my online businesses:
http://smartauthor.com, http://talkwithexperts.com,
http://yourchildandyou.com and a few dozen more.
Am I a millionaire? Not yet.
But, God has blessed me abundantly through much more than
money.
Don't believe it? Just read the paragraphs above. :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Now, it's your turn. Take a minute to post about what
you're thankful for. It will make you feel good, I promise. :)
